2023 Hills Year in Review

Merry Christmas, friends and fam!

It has been a wonderFULL year! It was so fun looking back on all of the amazing moments we experienced together this year. We hope you enjoy our virtual Christmas card and we're praying you had a blessed 2023.

Love,

Brian and Julie

The year started with a quick trip to our land in Oklahoma.

Just after the new year, I started my new job!

But before starting a new job, I had to say goodbye to the people I'd worked so closely with for the last 17 years. It was a bittersweet goodbye to say the least.

Brian and his younger brother made another weekend trip to our land.

Bry's tight-knit college friend group said goodbye in good fashion to a friend who moved to Tennessee.

(From Bry:) This cutie was spotted out in the wild!

We spent our 17th wedding anniversary in Gulf Shores, AL. It was an amazing trip!

Downtown music festival in Carrollton, TX.

Fun times with new work buddies. :)

We had some great times with our favorite niblings in the whole world (the nephews) this year!

In June, we bought a house and jumped in with both feet to finish the build!

It was so fun to see it all come together.

Brian went on a boy's trip with his brother and some friends in October to our land in OK, and one of them had a fancy drone for some fancy pictures.

We're beyond thankful for monthly visits with our girl!

Love these kiddos! Mia and I went on our second "Broadway Date" this year to see Mr. Hill's Aladdin!

My bestie gave me a second best friend in May!

It feels amazing to spend time with friends who have known you for decades and still accept every part of you, no matter how weird you are!

Brian's parents were gracious enough to allow us to live with them for a few weeks in the summer while we waited on our house to be built. We're forever thankful for them!!

Brian and his college buddies meet up about once a year to hang out together at an Air BnB. This year was in Northwest Arkansas.

We sold our first house on Sept. 5th and closed on our new house on Sept. 22nd!

September 23rd was move-in day!

It was a crazy, exciting time...during a crazy, exciting time at work, too!

Pumpkin Patch visit with my favorite people!

We had lots of visits at my mom and dad's house this year. Love them!!

We said goodbye to our soul dog, Ms. Lucy Lou, on Oct. 28th. It was a very hard goodbye.

We took a few quick trips to the land before it got too cold and snowy!

Our favorite place on earth.

We drove around our whole mountain community in November, and it took about two hours on a four-wheeler! It is truly remote and nearly impossible to navigate without maps and GPS since there are no street signs.

Kota is learning how to be an only dog-child and she's doing pretty great at it. She misses her sissy, but she is loving all the attention.

So many fun times with my guy this year!

My whole heart!

I got to see my old admin team in November at the International Festival. So thankful for these two.

Thanksgiving Day in our new home!

That's it for now, friends! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Love,

Brian, Julie, and Chey!
